We support the 57,000 or so students in the Stuttgart university region with services such as food, accommodation, childcare, BAföG and counseling. And we have been doing this for more than 100 years!

In our canteens and cafeterias, we provide students with affordable and healthy food, snacks and drinks close to the university. At the Stuttgart-Vaihingen campus, our four cafeterias are always close to the students, from breakfast to dinner. For our four cafeterias on the Stuttgart-Vaihingen campus, we are looking for a

deputy Cafeteria Manager (m/f/d)

full-time

What we need your support for

  • As a permanent representative of the cafeteria management, you will ensure the proper and smooth running of operations in all cafeterias, observing internal and legal regulations and requirements.
  • You will support the cafeteria management in reviewing internal processes to increase profitability, in particular through active sales, the use of sales promotion measures and economic resources.
  • You will be responsible for the staff in one cafeteria at all times and in the absence of the cafeteria manager in all four cafeterias and will, for example, draw up staff deployment plans.
  • You will also ensure compliance with our quality standards.
  • You will support the cafeteria management in ordering the required goods and carrying out the monthly inventory.
  • Within the framework of the specifications, you will ensure that cash is paid out on time.
  • You will also implement our HACCP concept and comply with hygiene standards and safety regulations.

What distinguishes you

  • You have completed vocational training in gastronomy.
  • You also have several years of professional experience in gastronomy or food sales.
  • You already have some experience in managing small teams, particularly in staff scheduling.
  • You have very good knowledge of food trade processes and food hygiene.
  • You also have good knowledge of Office applications, merchandise management systems for orders and cash register programs.
  • Your written and spoken German is good, ideally you speak English.

Working hours

  • Benefit from family-friendly working hours with a start between 6:30 am and 7:30 am and an end between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm, depending on the duty roster.
  • Enjoy a weekend off! Your regular working days are Monday to Friday.
  • In addition, you are flexible for occasional shifts until 7:30 pm or assignments on 4 to 6 evening or weekend events per year.
