Gastronomy Manager (m/f/d) with coordination Familienburg Scharfenstein
We, the Augustusburg/Scharfenstein/Lichtenwalde Schlossbetriebe gGmbH, create unforgettable experiences for hundreds of thousands of guests every year in the three most beautiful cultural monuments in Saxony: Augustusburg Castle, Scharfenstein Family Castle and Lichtenwalde Castle & Park. We are looking for you to join our team to set up and manage our own catering operations at our three locations. You will also be responsible for coordinating the Scharfenstein Family Castle and making sure our guests’ eyes light up.
The position is a full-time position with 38 h/week, open-ended.
Your task with us:
Gastronomy concept: You implement the existing gastronomy concept and develop it further
Operational management: You are responsible for the operational and strategic management of catering in all facilities, including personnel management and leadership, purchasing, warehousing and budget management
Offer planning: You will constantly develop attractive regional and seasonal gastronomic offers for all locations.
Guest care: You ensure an excellent level of service and a pleasant atmosphere for all guests, museum visitors, tourists and event guests.
Quality management: You ensure hygiene standards, compliance with legal regulations (HACCP) and continuous quality control of food and beverages
Event catering: For special events such as private parties, company events or castle events in our facilities, you will be responsible for coordinating and organizing catering services in all three facilities
Supplier management: You will find the right suppliers to ensure a high-quality range of goods.
As coordinator of the Scharfenstein Family Castle, you will be responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating day-to-day business in guest service, reception and catering, ensuring service quality and acting as the communication interface between management and the team on site.

What we expect from you:
- Degree in hotel management, gastronomy or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in a management position in the catering sector, ideally in a cultural or tourism facility
- Strong leadership skills and experience in dealing with employees
- Sound knowledge of F&B management, including costing and budget planning
- Creativity in the design of food and beverage offers
- Knowledge in the use of cash register systems and merchandise management software
- Flexibility, reliability and honesty
- Excellent problem solving and multitasking skills
- Willingness to undergo regular further training
- Willingness to work weekends
- Driving license
