Tasks
- in cooperation with the head chef and independently when deputizing: Performing management tasks in the kitchen area (planning, coordinating and controlling operating procedures; distributing tasks within the team, guidance and control)
- Developing creative menu suggestions, preparing menus and buffets, setting up and dismantling buffets including serving food
- administrative tasks, such as drawing up menu plans, calculating prices, ordering, receiving and storing goods; managing stock; drawing up shift plans for staff; assisting with invoicing, monitoring compliance with costs and deadlines in the area of responsibility
- Documentation as part of hygiene and quality management
- Responsibility for equipment, machinery and kitchen technology
Qualification profile
- successfully completed vocational training as a chef
- Experience as a sous-chef is an advantage
- Further training in kitchen organization desirable
- independent working style with high quality standards, ability to work in a team, flexibility and strong commitment
- Strong knowledge of quality requirements and relevant legal regulations, e.g. food regulations, for accident prevention
- good verbal and written communication skills and confident use of MS Office as well as willingness to familiarize yourself with specialist IT programs
- Willingness to work in shifts, possibly including evening shifts for corresponding event formats
- friendly and courteous behavior, also towards high-ranking guests
- Experience with Bavarian cuisine desirable
